Mevoraster gravel grids, also known as gravel plates, are very reliable and 100% recyclable, they are very suitable for usage in walkways, driveways and parking lots, among other things. By using a gravel grid you prevent subsidence and rutting.
The advantage of a driveway constructed with gravel is its quick drainage. Due to the open structure of the split and gravel plates, in combination with split or gravel, rainwater can be drained faster. This way the water does not wash away and it helps to prevent drying out. Mevoraster gravel grids are available in black and white, 2.14 plates go into 1 m². The split and gravel plates are so strong due to their structure that heavy traffic loads are no problem at all. The split and gravel plates can be filled with gravel from 7 mm to 32 mm or split from 7 mm to 22 mm.
Installation of Mevoraster gravel grid
Mevoraster gravel grids are very easy to install due to a well thought-out coupling system. Because they can also be disconnected, they can also be re-installed.
First of all, make sure you have a good surface. Second, lay out Mevolon geotextile, or non-woven geotextile on top of the surface. If necessary the plates can easily be cut with a jigsaw to make them fit.
Finally, fill the Mevoraster split / gravel plates up to 2 cm above the plates. When the gravel or split is settled, 1 cm will remain above the gravel grid.
Tip: Use Mevoline edgings for a nice separation between the gravel and lawn or border. The edging must be at least 2 cm above the gravel grid.
